Winter Wonderland Conjures Up Spectacular Line-up of Frozen Attractions

‘Tis the season! Winter Wonderland takes over Hyde Park for another festive extravaganza, full of immersive magical experiences, rides, and Bavarian treats to immerse yourself in. And it’s bigger and more fantastical than ever before.

From the 18th November 2022 – 2nd January 2023, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland returns for its 15th anniversary, with a host of exciting ice themed attractions. Here’s some of this year’s must-do festive adventures:

Magical Ice Kingdom

This year, the Magical Ice Kingdom unveils a brand-new look, inviting visitors to escape the ordinary with its enchanted secret passageways, snow-tunnelled ice slide, life-sized unicorn, Ice Palace, and more. Made of over 500 tonnes of ice and snow sourced from the purest lakes of Europe and Canada, this one-of-a-kind exhibition will live exclusively in Hyde Park Winter Wonderland from November to January.

Real Ice Slide in partnership with Crystal Ski Holidays

A Hyde Park Winter Wonderland favourite, the 45m Real Ice Slide returns bigger and better than ever with six lanes of racing fun in 2022. The Real Ice Slide, sponsored by market-leading ski holiday provider Crystal Ski Holidays, is a must-try attraction for visitors of all ages and is available to pre-book now.

With no shortage of neighbouring rides, games, and food stalls, the Real Ice Slide is located near Santa’s Grotto in the Santaland area, offering a one-stop shop of festive cheer guaranteed to put a smile on the little ones’ faces this holiday season.

Bar Ice

If chilling in an icy wonderland is on your holiday to-do list, Bar Ice is an attraction worth checking out. Drinking in the alpine experience in an 80s après ski bar, visitors can immerse themselves in the frozen experience, where even the tables, chairs, and glasses are made of ice. Bar Ice offers a complimentary Mixtons Cocktail with each ticket, alongside a thermal cloak to keep out the -10°C cold.  But get in quick, as already 1/3rd of the spots for this year’s event are fully booked.

The UK’s largest open-air Ice Rink, proudly presented by Lidl

Set around the charming Victorian bandstand in Hyde Park, the UK’s largest open-air ice rink returns to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland once again. The Ice Rink, proudly presented by Lidl, creates the perfect setting for any festive outing. It can be enjoyed by friends, couples, colleagues, and families – with penguin skating aids available to support the little ones. Visitors looking to trade their shoes for skates can visit from 10.00am to 10.00pm daily.

Ice Sculpting Workshops

Visitors can let their imagination run wild and design their own masterpiece during the exclusive Ice Sculpting Workshops available at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. The ice experts responsible for building the spectacular Magical Ice Kingdom will provide personalised guidance, hints and top tips in the bespoke sculpting studio. As a bonus, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is offering free entry into the Magical Ice Kingdom with all ice sculpting tickets.

Of course, this is just the tip of the very steep iceberg. To dig into all that Winter Wonderland has to offer, check out the Things To Do here – and plan the day away!
