Disney is marking a major cultural milestone in 2026 as Winnie the Pooh celebrates 100 years since the publication of A.A. Milne’s original book in October 1926. A century on, the beloved bear and his companions remain as relevant as ever—continuing to inspire audiences with their warmth, humour, and timeless life lessons.
To honour the centenary, Disney has announced a year-long global celebration featuring immersive experiences, exclusive collaborations, new publishing titles, and digital storytelling designed to bring the magic of the Hundred Acre Wood to both long-time fans and a new generation.

Digital Campaign Brings Pooh to Modern Audiences
Disney is also launching a global digital campaign, blending nostalgia with modern storytelling. The campaign includes:
- A new brand film on Disney’s official YouTube channel
- Creator-led content and social storytelling
- Reimagined “Pooh-isms” adapted for today’s audiences
This initiative aims to reintroduce Pooh’s philosophy of kindness, simplicity, and friendship in a way that resonates across generations.
A Century of Pooh’s Timeless Charm
From his love of “hunny” to his quiet wisdom, Winnie the Pooh has remained a symbol of comfort and connection for 100 years. Alongside Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, and the rest of the Hundred Acre Wood gang, Pooh continues to inspire audiences to slow down and appreciate life’s simple joys.
As Disney’s centenary celebrations unfold throughout 2026, fans are invited to rediscover that magic—and, as Pooh would say, embrace the “hunny” life.
