Westfield London unveils Here We Glow, an inspiring light experience designed to brighten the season and uplift visitors’ spirits. Running from 23rd January to 2nd March, this free-to-visit attraction will feature eight captivating installations, including five created by acclaimed UK and international artists—some showcased in the UK for the very first time.
Set to be London’s must-see winter attraction, the artworks have been curated for their innovative designs, uplifting themes, and use of sustainable materials, promising to delight culture enthusiasts of all ages as well as fans of art and design.
Among the standout installations are the Anooki, a breathtaking display of two Inuit-inspired characters. Designed by French artists David Passegand and Moetu Batlle, these globally renowned figures have lit up iconic locations such as the Fête des Lumières in Lyon and Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. Symbolising the delicate balance of our planet’s ecosystems, the playful yet poignant Anooki make their UK debut at Here We Glow, offering visitors a thought-provoking and visually stunning experience.
Additionally, British artist Liz West will debut an exclusive new commission called Visible Light that draws inspiration from Westfield London’s iconic architecture, transforming light into a breathtaking kaleidoscopic journey. Westfield Square will also play host to Evanescent, a larger-than-life 8m bubble artwork by Atelier Sisu, which invites visitors to walk underneath and among the vibrant multi-coloured bubble structures whilst accompanied by an ethereal soundscape.

“Anooki” by Moetu Batlle and David Passegand
Location: The Southern Terrace
Making its UK debut at Here We Glow, the Anooki bring their enchanting, playful spirit to London. These larger-than-life characters transform building facades into vibrant playgrounds of light, drawing inspiration from the local architecture, culture, and history. Through lively, musical performances that are both fun and poetic, the Anooki not only captivate audiences but also deliver an important environmental message, highlighting the fragility of our planet and the urgent need for climate action.
“Visible Light” by Liz West
Location: The Village Entrance
British artist, Liz West, celebrated for her mastery of light and colour, debuts her latest creation inspired by Westfield London’s iconic triangular roof structure. Suspended in the grand oval aperture, this three-dimensional colour wheel transforms triangular prisms into a cascading spectrum. The installation is a vivid celebration of light, reflection and sensory engagement. Visitors are drawn into a kaleidoscope of hues, experiencing the subtle interplay of light and shadow as they navigate around and beneath the artwork. West’s installation exemplifies her deep exploration of the emotional and psychological connections to colour, leaving an indelible impression on all who experience it.
“Shifting Visions” by Adam Povey Lighting LTD
Location: Westfield Square
A fusion of mirrors and lighting, Shifting Visions reflects both the surrounding environment and light itself back at the viewer. This piece highlights how, at any stage in life, we can look at the same object from different perspectives, each time experiencing something new and unique.
“Tessellis” by Angelo Bonello
Location: The Southern Terrace
Comprising 18 large, glowing tesserae arranged in a regular pattern, Tessellis transforms simple geometric shapes that alternately switch on and off into ancient symbols of a mysterious code. The dynamic composition of these tesserae takes visitors on a journey from ancient cities to a futuristic metropolis, where animals reclaim the world.
“Evanescent” by Atelier Sisu
Location: Westfield Square
Evanescent is an 8m-tall, larger-than-life bubble sculpture that invites visitors to walk beneath and around the bubble structures. By day, the bubbles glisten in the sunlight, while at night, internal lights bring them to life in vibrant colours, accompanied by an ethereal soundscape.
