Where To Go Now: The Little Violet Door

London recently welcomed the launch of The Little Violet Door, the latest addition to The Little Door & Co’s collection of trendy hotspots. Situated in the vibrant heart of Carnaby Street, this new venue continues the brand’s signature house party vibe that has made their other locations the envy of London’s nightlife scene. Guests can look forward to colourful lounges, lively kitchen discos, and a menu brimming with late-night cocktails, perfect for enjoying throughout the summer and beyond.

Fans of the house party bar scene might already know The Little Violet Door’s cheeky Soho sibling, The Little Scarlet Door, or the neighbourhood favourites: The Little Yellow Door in Notting Hill, The Little Blue Door in Fulham, and The Little Orange Door in Clapham. The latest addition continues the tradition, offering an authentic house party experience in a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re sipping cocktails on the sofa, dancing in the living room, or challenging friends to board games, cards, or video games, The Little Violet Door has it all.

The Little Violet Door has found its new home in the former site of the iconic Bag O’Nails music venue, a place once graced by legends like Elton John and Paul McCartney. This two-story flat beautifully embodies Carnaby’s rich heritage and hedonistic spirit along with its warm and inviting atmosphere, featuring meticulously designed interiors inspired by the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s. Guests are encouraged to mix, mingle, and make the most out of their evenings making friends along the way.

Behind the striking Violet door lies a labyrinth of rooms waiting to be explored. At the heart of this home is the kitchen, the central hub where the magic happens. DJs spin tracks from a turntable kitchen island, creating a lively disco atmosphere amidst the pots and pans. On the ground floor, the sitting room boasts a statement vinyl bar, plush velvet upholstery, and a cosy fireplace – the perfect spot to unwind. For a more intimate setting, the bathroom offers a secluded retreat, ideal for whispered secrets and selfies in bathrobes beside a tub fully equipped with bath accessories.

Downstairs, guests can dive into a variety of games, from “What Do You Meme?” to Mario Kart, in the games room. The living room, which overlooks the kitchen disco, is filled with comfy sofas, vibrant artwork, and coffee table books, offering a relaxed space to enjoy the party.

The Little Violet Door’s bar serves up its delicious concoctions in home essentials, from teacups and tincans to milk bottles, and draws on a movie theme from the house’s expansive DVD collection – you can expect creative favourites such as La La Land (vodka, raspberries, Martini Rosso, and Mozart White & Vanilla) and Kill Bill Volume 2 (Remy Martin VSOP Brandy, Bacardi Negra and Toti Dark Rums, ginger syrup and Camden Pale Ale).

No house party is complete without classic finger-friendly snacks, from usual bar bites to more elaborate sharing champagne buckets of panko fried chicken, tacos, pulled brisket croquettes, and burgers.

And for the perfect early afternoon activity in the West End, The Little Violet Door also does bottomless brunch, cooking up shakshukas, bagels, avocado on toast, and granola smoothie bowls each weekend for hungry and thirsty party seekers.

If it’s a good vibes, great food and drinks, and an overwhelmingly Insta-friendly set you’re seeking, this house party may just be the ultimate destination to add to the must-visit list.

You can join the party seven days a week at The Little Violet Door on 9 Kingly Street, W1B 5PH, from 12:00 until 01:00 (or 23:00 on Sundays).
