Last weekend the Verge Magazine team travelled to Paris with On Location, the newly-signed exclusive hospitality provider of the Olympic Games. Building on their current major event hospitality portfolio (which includes the Superbowl and New York Fashion Week to name just two), On Location will provide luxury hospitality ticketing and experiences for Paris 2024, Milan 2026 and Los Angeles 2028 – the first time experience ticketing has ever been available to individuals wanting to experience the Olympic Games.
We spent a couple of days experiencing Parisian hospitality, as well as immersing ourselves in the Olympic buzz that is already beginning two years before its official start. At the Olympic Day event at Paris’s Stade de France, I attempted to hone my athletic skills in Olympic rock-climbing and fencing as well as wheelchair basketball with Sofyane Mehianoui and Mamady Traore from the French national team. It was inspiring and such an enjoyable experience as they shared their passion and talents with us.
We spoke to On Location’s Parisian head Fabrice Favetto-Bon at La Suite Girafe to learn about what they’ve got in store for Paris. While not much can be revealed just yet, he shared that packages will be on sale from September, so we’ll look more to previewing them in due course!
Verge Magazine CEO Andre Dixon also had the privilege of meeting former Olympian and Paris 2024 President Tony Estanguet who shared his vision for an Olympic Games like no other – one that is truly accessible and the most sustainable Games yet.
We shared some unforgettable experiences, and I am looking forward to learning more about what’s to come at the September sales launch. The whole Verge gang had an amazing time with the On Location team, who took really good care of us and we already cannot wait to being back in Paris soon – as well as in summer 2024, of course! I’m just waiting for my call from Team GB’s climbing team. Any day now…
