Where To Go Now: Daddy Bao

London’s favourite independent Taiwanese restaurant, Daddy Bao, will be serving up a lip-smacking eight-course tasting menu for Chinese New Year (and it’s the Year of the Tiger, since you asked…🐯)
Whether you are celebrating the beginning of a new lunar calendar, or are simply looking for an excuse to tuck into some knock-out fare inspired by the flavours of the Far East, the menu is sure to delight. Lucky diners can look forward to the following dishes:

Chicken broth with crab
Prawn toast
Ham and chive xiao long bao
Black truffle lo pa co
Smoked eel rice paper roll
Prawn and XO bao
Duck and blood orange bao
Nian gao and parfait

The menu (priced at £50pp) will be available for dinner on February 1st and 2nd at the Tooting site. At the newest outpost in London Bridge, Amazing Grace, the team will be serving up a couple of Chinese New Year specials – keep your eyes peeled for details of these!

In addition, to the Chinese New Year celebrations, the fantastic Amazing Grace is introducing a brand new monthly Gospel Brunch, taking place on the final Sunday of each month, with food suppled by the incredible Mr Bao. Feast on the incredible range of classic baos while soaking up the dulcet gospel tones.
