WAHACA LAUNCHES NEW SUMMER MENU WITH TUNA TOSTADAS, SUNSHINE BOWLS AND SEASONAL SPRITZES

Mexican street food favourite Wahaca is bringing the flavours of summer to restaurants across the UK with the launch of a brand-new seasonal menu packed with vibrant dishes, refreshed Sunshine Bowls and refreshing spritz cocktails.

Inspired by the bold colours and flavours of Mexico, the new line-up has been designed for relaxed summer dining, whether that’s alfresco lunches, after-work drinks or sharing plates with friends.

Wahaca unveils new seasonal dishes for summer

Leading the new additions are the Yellowfin Tuna Tostadas (£10.50), featuring sustainably sourced raw tuna marinated in soy and lime, topped with avocado, tomato salsa and salsa macha on crisp tortillas.

Plant-based diners can opt for the Chipotle Glazed Aubergine (£7.75), which combines roasted aubergine with macadamia mole, jalapeño oil and crumbled feta for a smoky yet fresh flavour profile.

Returning to the specials menu are Wahaca’s upgraded Crispy Potato Esquites (£7.95), made with roasted Jersey Royals, sweetcorn, jalapeño mayo, crema and Parmesan-style cheese.

Another standout addition is the Hibiscus Glazed Chicken Wings (£9.25), served with crispy onions, pickled vegetables and toasted sesame — designed as a perfect sharing dish for summer gatherings.

Sunshine Bowls get a summer refresh

Wahaca has also revamped its popular Sunshine Bowls, which start from £13.95. The bowls include avocado, corn and bean salsa, cherry tomatoes, quinoa, rocket and agave chipotle dressing, alongside a choice of grilled chicken, Halloumi Al Pastor or garlic sweet potato.

The refreshed bowls continue the restaurant’s focus on colourful, veg-forward dishes inspired by Mexican cuisine.

New spritz cocktails inspired by Mexican flavours

To complement the seasonal food menu, Wahaca has launched a new range of Spritz Specials.

The Wahaca Spritz (£10.95) blends Aperol, tequila, grapefruit and Prosecco, while the Frida Spritz (£10.95) combines white rum, pink grapefruit, vanilla, lemon and Prosecco, inspired by legendary Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

Other additions include the Jalapeño & Cucumber Spritz (£9.95), made with gin, elderflower, cucumber and muddled jalapeño, and the tropical Sarti Spritz (£9.95), featuring Sarti Rosa liqueur with blood orange, mango and passion fruit.

For non-drinkers, the Three Citrus Spritz (£5.95) offers a refreshing alcohol-free alternative with grapefruit, lime, lemon, mint and sparkling bubbles.

Wahaca CEO on the new menu

Gemma Glasson, CEO of Wahaca, said the new menu was created to reflect the energy and vibrancy of summer dining.

She said: “Summer is all about vibrant flavours and uplifting dishes that are perfect for sharing, and this new menu really captures that energy. With a focus on seasonal, veg-forward dishes reimagined through a Mexican lens, sustainably-sourced seafood and refreshing spritzes, we’re all about dining that’s fresh, colourful and relaxed this summer at Wahaca.”
