Virgin Voyages has unveiled a transformed version of its popular ship, the Valiant Lady, following an extensive dry dock refurbishment that introduces new dining experiences, redesigned social spaces and more than 20 brand-new onboard entertainment concepts.
The cruise line says the revamped vessel has been designed to deliver an even more immersive and social experience, with upgrades touching almost every aspect of life onboard. From new restaurants and wellness activities to late-night experiences and enhanced public spaces, the ship is preparing for a busy Mediterranean summer before heading to the Caribbean later this year.
A New Era for Valiant Lady
Fresh from dry dock, Valiant Lady returns with a renewed focus on hospitality, entertainment and guest experience. According to Nirmal Saverimuttu, the company used feedback from previous voyages to shape the ship’s latest evolution.
The refurbishment also included a renewed emphasis on Virgin’s customer-first culture, with all 1,300-plus crew members completing the company’s “Virgin Way” culture programme to further enhance service standards across the ship.
Ariya Brings Modern Indian Cuisine to Sea
One of the most significant additions aboard Valiant Lady is Ariya, a new Indian dining concept created in partnership with culinary collective Indie Culinaire and acclaimed chef Maneet Chauhan.
The restaurant features a menu inspired by regional Indian cuisine, offering dishes such as Lamb Shank Biryani and Puffed Rice & Avocado Chaat. The venue’s design takes inspiration from India’s vibrant spice markets, creating a colourful and immersive dining atmosphere.
Named after a traveller in the Branson family history, Ariya adds another distinctive option to Virgin Voyages’ award-winning dining portfolio.

The ship’s nightlife venue has undergone one of the most noticeable changes. Raised platforms have been removed to create a larger dance floor and a more open club atmosphere.

Improved staging and seating arrangements have been introduced to enhance live performances and guest comfort throughout the day and evening.
