After the emotionally charged “Pity Party”, Bulgarian alt-pop artist VICTORIA returns with her latest release — the introspective single “We Don’t Get Along”, accompanied by the spoken-word interlude “Crumbs of a Modern Tragedy”. Together, the two pieces form a cohesive emotional story exploring the complexities of self-worth, toxic expectations, and the silent pressure of living in a hyperconnected world.
‘We Don’t Get Along’ is a raw yet restrained track that examines the kind of relationship many people find themselves stuck in — one built more on habit and emotional avoidance than real connection. With understated production and cutting lyrics, VICTORIA captures the feeling of being emotionally drained but unable to walk away. Lines like “You got my number, but you never call” and “You’re just a way for me to run out the clock” speak to a universal experience of wanting to be seen while staying guarded.
The interlude ‘Crumbs of a Modern Tragedy’ offers a poetic monologue on one of the most pressing emotional crises of our time: the loss of self in the digital era. It reflects on how constant comparison, filtered perfection, and online performance distort identity and wear us down.
Speaking on the project, VICTORIA shares: “The story behind this project was born from the feeling that I was losing myself in the noise and the crowd — one of those thoughts that aren’t spoken out loud, but echo inside you louder and louder, until you finally let them out.”
She continues: “This isn’t a story where I complain or place myself in the role of a victim. It’s a raw narrative, with a hint of irony, about the world we live in. About the pressure to be perfect and constantly boxed in. About feeling like you’re on stage, but no one’s really seeing you.”
With this release, VICTORIA continues to carve out her own lane in the alt-pop space — where emotional honesty meets atmospheric storytelling, and vulnerability becomes power. Blending her evolving sound with thoughtful, minimalist visuals, she creates space for reflection in a world that rarely slows down.
