UN-BEAR-LIEVABLE: RING CAMERA CAPTURES CLEVER MOTHER BEAR BREAKING INTO CAR

In an unexpected turn of events, a California homeowner captured footage on their Ring Spotlight Camera of a local bear’s nocturnal antics with her cubs.

The bear is affectionately known as ‘Polite Bear’ to locals in the South Lake Tahoe area for always leaving when she sees you and never causing a mess, according to Keryn, the homeowner who captured the footage.

The latest incident shows Polite Bear’s impressive door-opening skills as she explores the contents of a parked car. Incredibly, she left the vehicle completely unscathed, displaying quite the level of finesse.

Keryn confirmed the routine presence of bears in the neighbourhood and joked,

“Polite Bear must have just gotten a manicure because she was very careful opening the door. She rummaged through the trash bin but there were only paper wrappers in there. She also tried to taste my cherry-flavoured lip balm in the front seat. She’s definitely teaching her cubs bad habits!”

With Ring, customers can monitor activity inside and outside their homes, wherever they are. When subscribed to a Ring Protect plan, all events are recorded and customers can download, save and rewatch footage up to 180 days later.

If you capture any animal footage on your Ring device, please send it to ukstories@ring.com or visit the Ring website here.
