Verisure and Arlo launch global sponsorship initiative to protect Banksy artwork

Verisure and Arlo have today launched an initiative to protect Banksy artwork, in light of the now famous Banksy artwork entitled ‘Aachoo’ that has recently appeared on the wall of a Bristolian home.

The property, which became the renowned street artists latest canvas, is now protected by a Verisure monitored alarm system and integrated Arlo cameras which have been installed to watch over the masterpiece and give the homeowners peace of mind. After being trusted to protect this important part of British art culture Verisure and Arlo will now offer this bespoke ‘Banksy Protection Package’ to future verified Banksy works.

Created in response to previous Banksy artwork that was targeted and destroyed by vandals due to lack of security¹, the Verisure and Arlo initiative offers a 24/7 professionally monitored alarm and camera installation for future families and their homes that are targeted by the mystery artist. This custom created package includes a round-the-clock response team, who within one hour of receiving an enquiry, will dispatch a expert to install a complete security system to protect any authenticated new artwork – for free.  With Verisure offering professional monitoring by it’s UK based NSI Gold Certified Alarm receiving centre as well as guard dispatch and lifetime maintenance there is no better protection for the work of art.

The new Banksy piece, which depicts a sneezing woman with dentures flying out, sparked huge public interest earlier this week which led some security concerns for the homeowners. They called on the support of Verisure to provide round the clock protection for the artwork and their property, helping them manage with the constant flux of onlookers and the new-found attention to their property.

The products installed this week on the family home will feature as part of the new UK wide Banksy Portection Package initiative and included Arlo Essential wire-free cameras that includes a built-in spotlight and colour night vision and allow the homeowner to receive alerts and live video direct to their smartphone should motion be detected around the art – so they can take action to protect it from wherever they are. The cameras are also fully integrated into the Verisure alarm system meaning Verisure can use the cameras to verify the situation and respond to an emergency when help is needed most.
