Tigermilk has officially launched in London, opening its doors on Charing Cross Road and marking the brand’s first foray into the UK. A cult sensation across France and Belgium, it brings a fresh perspective on Latin American cooking, blending vibrant, punchy flavours with uncompromising character for a serious dose of Latin-infused style – in a venue that might just become one of the capital’s most talked-about new arrivals.
Born in Paris in 2019, Tigermilk has built a fast-growing following with an approach shaped by the markets and kitchens of Mexico, Peru, and beyond. Its new 138-cover London opening channels that same energy into the heart of the West End, pairing carefully sourced ingredients with big, confident flavours of slow marinades, bold spices, and sharp citrus notes brought together through fire-led cooking – all capturing the essence of Latin America with a distinctly European edge.
The menu promises to delight with ceviche, laced with lime and chilli and served with seasonal twists like strawberries and dorade. Chipotle-marinated T-bone steaks are given a 12-hour agave bath before hitting the grill, while tacos come piled with rich cochinita pibil, cooked until pull-apart soft. Larger plates such as the rocoto-glazed lamb shoulder make for the perfect sharers, while a tableside guacamole moment serves a dose of theatre to the table.
For dessert, a maracuyá tiramisu layered with passionfruit and cream delivers indulgence and brightness, while the dulce de leche cheesecake offers the big bang at the end of the meal. The drinks list goes deep on agave spirits, with over 250 tequilas and mezcals behind the bar, with signature cocktails like the Hibiscus Margarita and Yuzu Grapefruit Spritz also available alongside a wine list that favours small producers from Latin America and France.
The interiors are just as memorable as the menu. Designed by Tigermilk’s in-house Studio Leche with input from ex-Soho House designer Christie Ward, the space blends white and red marble floors, mirrored ceilings, tropical planting, and a vast open kitchen. It’s loud and cinematic, with just the right amount of flair between glamour and grit. A sweeping backlit bar stretches the length of the room, setting the tone for long and loud nights across all seasons.
With its West End location, stripped-back formality, and premium menu gems, you might expect the bill to reflect this – but prices are strikingly accessible by design. Small plates sit under the £10 mark, while mains land between £15 and £20. For food this bold and this well-executed, this is a rare find in London, and an even rarer one in such a prime postcode.
Tigermilk is now open at 127 Charing Cross Rd, WC2H 0EW. You can find out more, browse the menu, and book your table right here.
