Altitude will release the new feature documentary, LIONESSES: HOW FOOTBALL CAME HOME, chronicling the England women’s national football team’s historic 2022 UEFA European Women’s Championship victory, on DVD and digital from 19 December and will air on Sky Documentaries and streaming service NOW at the end of the year.
Poppy de Villeneuve, director of LIONESSES commented; “It was a huge honour making this film alongside Ad Hoc Films and Altitude. I have been so inspired and touched by the Lionessess, past and present, by what they have achieved for women in sports and the bright light they have shone on female leadership. Sarina Wiegman and the Lionesses remind us of the heights you can reach when you accept and embrace your full self and what it takes to create a team environment where all can thrive, raising the bar for us all. This is just the beginning”
LIONESSES: WHEN FOOTBALL CAME HOME gives unrivalled insight into England’s historic Women’s EURO 2022 victory, behind the scenes and in their own words.
