THE ROLLING STONES LAUNCH CROSSFIRE HURRICANE RUM INSPIRED BY THEIR LEGENDARY JAMAICAN CONNECTION

The legendary The Rolling Stones have officially entered the premium spirits market with the launch of Crossfire Hurricane Rum — a new super-premium Jamaican rum celebrating the band’s decades-long connection with Jamaica and its culture.

Available now across the UK, US and selected European markets, the new spirit combines authentic Jamaican rum craftsmanship with the iconic legacy of one of rock music’s most influential bands.

What Is Crossfire Hurricane Rum?

According to the band, Crossfire Hurricane Rum is the first rum brand to blend spirits from four of Jamaica’s most respected distilleries:

  • Hampden Estate
  • Long Pond
  • Worthy Park
  • Clarendon

The blend is made entirely from 100% Jamaican rum with no added sugar, aiming to showcase the island’s diverse rum-making traditions in a single bottle.

The project was co-created with globally recognised rum expert Ian Burrell, who described the spirit as “unlike anything else on the market.”

The Rolling Stones’ Long History With Jamaica

The launch pays tribute to the band’s enduring relationship with Jamaica, which dates back to the early 1970s when the group recorded parts of their iconic 1973 album Goats Head Soup in Kingston.

In a statement, the band reflected on the influence Jamaica had on their music and lifestyle during that era:

“Jamaica got into everything we did in the early seventies — the music, the rhythm, the pace of life.”

The name “Crossfire Hurricane” itself references the opening lyric from the classic Jumpin’ Jack Flash.

Bottle Design Inspired By Live Music Energy

The bottle prominently features the band’s instantly recognisable tongue-and-lips logo, surrounded by radiating wave patterns inspired by soundwaves and live performances.

The packaging combines premium craftsmanship with the rebellious aesthetic associated with The Rolling Stones, while a natural cork closure gives the bottle a more artisanal feel.

Never-Before-Seen Jamaica Content And Storytelling

Alongside the rum launch, the brand has also unveiled a dedicated digital storytelling platform exploring The Rolling Stones’ time in Jamaica.

Fans can discover previously unseen images of the band during the making of Goats Head Soup, alongside stories documenting how Jamaica shaped both their music and the inspiration behind the new rum.

You can explore the official platform via Crossfire Hurricane Rum Official Website.

Signature Cocktails And How To Drink It

Crossfire Hurricane Rum has been designed for a range of serves, from classic tropical cocktails to sipping neat.

The brand highlights signature drinks including:

  • A tropical Hurricane cocktail
  • A rum-based Old Fashioned
  • Simple mixed serves
  • Neat pours showcasing the rum’s layered character

The launch positions Crossfire Hurricane as both a collector’s item for Rolling Stones fans and a serious entry into the premium rum market.
