The RiseUp Summit Returns to Riyadh

The RiseUp Summit 2024 is being held for the second consecutive year in the Kingdom, following the success of the first edition in 2023. It is the most important event for startups and entrepreneurs in the region, in partnership with the National Technology Development Program.

The event comes as part of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious plans to diversify its economy by investing in new sectors and strengthening the country in line with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030. Showcasing a continued effort to attract global businesses to the region, to position Saudi Arabia as the central hub for startup innovation and the new Silicon Valley of the world.

Companies across various sectors, including energy, technology, healthcare, and hospitality, have recently established their regional bases in Riyadh. Aligning with invitations for international companies in the region to relocate their headquarters to the Kingdom.

After its success in November 2023, this year the RiseUp Summit in the Kingdom will host more than 300 startups, over 300 investors, and more than 300 speakers, with attendance reaching up to 10,000 people. The event is scheduled to host a variety of industry giants from the likes of Google, Youtube, LaLiga, LVMH, Netflix and Amazon, as well as global investors.

Over the last 10 years the annual event being held in Egypt has grown to become the largest investment and business conference in the Middle East, resulting in;

“The Kingdom has rapidly become one of the strongest economies globally, and the impact of startups on our citizens is evident”, CEO Princess Luluwah Bint Yazid Al Saud says.

The introduction of RiseUp Saudi plays a significant role in motivating the Saudi youth to explore new and innovative business ideas. “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing a historic flourishing of the startup community, and it has been and will remain the biggest supporter of this sector.”

RiseUp aims to continue to support new businesses with a network of relationships that facilitate their access to global, regional, and local resources.

The second iteration of the event will be held in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh from April 28th to April 30th, scheduled for an annual return and growth to attract hundreds of speakers, businesses and investors with aims to propel Saudi as the new business hub of the world.
