The Mayfair Chippy Extends Inaugural Price Offer and Launches New Seasonal Menu

The Mayfair Chippy is keeping its much-loved Mayfair Classic at its inaugural price for just a little longer. Following overwhelming demand, the celebratory throwback to 2015 will now run through to 12th February at the Knightsbridge location, giving diners a chance to dive into the staple British Fish & Chips dish for just £13.50.

Originally launched as part of the restaurant’s 10th anniversary celebrations, the offer sees the Mayfair Classic served at its inaugural price, down from its usual £26.50, allowing more diners to mark this milestone with the restaurant that has been creating around-the-block queues in the heart of London since its opening.

The Mayfair Classic offers responsibly sourced haddock or hake fried in beer batter, alongside thick-cut chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce, and either curry sauce or HP gravy, with alcohol-free and gluten-free batter options also available. It is worth noting that the restaurant has opted to temporarily replace cod with hake for sustainability purposes, with the original cod returning to the menu soon.

While the Classic remains the main reason for its avid following, the starters are also a popular draw for returning patrons, with a selection including fresh Cornish crab with sourdough, aromatic salt and pepper squid with chilli, lime, and ginger, and cult-favourite TMC prawn toast, served with fried butter loaf and sriracha mayonnaise. And for other mains options, there are lobster and crayfish rolls, soft-shell crab burgers, and a rotating grilled fish of the day, offering plenty of reasons to return well after the offer is over.

Alongside the anniversary offer, The Mayfair Chippy Knightsbridge is introducing a curated Iftar menu especially for Ramadan. Developed in collaboration with the brand’s Saudi Operations Manager, the four-course menu (£48pp) brings together British signatures and Middle Eastern influences, served daily after 5pm throughout the month. It begins with traditional Iftar elements including medjool dates, roasted cashews, and lentil soup, before moving into a mezze course with options such as prawn toast or crispy oyster mushrooms with black garlic and truffle mayonnaise. Mains designed for sharing include the Mayfair Classic platter, Middle Eastern shepherd’s pie, and whole chermoula-marinated seabass, followed by a dessert selection of miniature puddings.
