THE MAGNUM CROISSANT HACK HAS GONE VIRAL WITH 8 MILLION+ VIEWS!

A new food trend is taking social media by storm, and it combines two breakfast and dessert favourites in one seriously indulgent creation.

The Magnum Croissant hack sees a freshly baked, buttery croissant stuffed with a Magnum ice cream, creating a combination of flaky pastry, creamy ice cream and Magnum’s signature cracking chocolate shell.

According to Magnum, content surrounding the trend has already generated more than 8.1 million views and 309,000 comments, likes and shares across social media, with the trend reportedly receiving more than six million views in a single day at its peak.

What Is The Magnum Croissant Hack?

The concept is remarkably simple.

Creators take a fresh croissant, slice off one end and carefully make an opening inside the pastry. A whole Magnum ice cream is then pushed inside before the wooden stick is gently removed.

The result is an ice cream-filled croissant that combines the warmth and flakiness of the pastry with cold, velvety ice cream and a layer of cracking chocolate.

The trend has quickly spread across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, with foodies sharing their attempts and reactions online.

Comments have included “I need this”, “What an invention” and “I wanna try this now” as viewers debate whether the unusual combination could become their new favourite summer treat.

How To Make A Magnum Croissant

The good news is that you don’t need complicated ingredients or specialist equipment to recreate the viral food hack at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 fresh butter croissant
  • 1 Magnum ice cream stick of your choice

Magnum recommends varieties including Magnum Classic, Magnum Almond, Magnum White and Magnum Signature La Pistache.

Method

  1. Slice off one end of the croissant.
  2. Carefully create an opening inside the pastry.
  3. Push the Magnum ice cream into the croissant.
  4. Gently remove the Magnum stick.
  5. Give the croissant a gentle squeeze and enjoy.
  6. For extra indulgence, add your favourite toppings.

For another take on the idea, Magnum also has its own Classic Ice Cream Croissant Sandwich recipe, which combines Magnum Classic with toasted croissants, honey, butter and melted dark chocolate.

Magnum Has Been Experimenting With Bakery-Inspired Treats

While the viral hack has been created by consumers, the combination of Magnum ice cream and bakery treats isn’t entirely new.

Magnum previously launched its Magnum Bakery in Cannes, where the brand explored ice cream-filled pastries and other bakery-inspired creations. The menu included indulgent creations such as ice cream-filled croissants, alongside shakes and other sweet treats.

The brand has also previously collaborated with East London cinnamon roll brand Roll Boys, bringing its ice cream and bonbon range into the world of bakery-style treats.

Speaking about the viral trend, Shannon Lennon-Smith, Marketing Manager at Magnum UK, said:

“Magnum has always been about creating moments of indulgence and inspiring people to explore new ways to enjoy pleasure. So, we are very happy to see the foodie community hack the Magnum Croissant and make it at home.”

Why Has The Magnum Croissant Gone Viral?

The appeal of the trend may be its simplicity. Unlike many viral food hacks that require lengthy recipes or hard-to-find ingredients, the Magnum Croissant requires just two main ingredients.

It also combines familiar foods in a way that feels both unexpected and instantly recognisable – exactly the kind of easy-to-recreate food content that can thrive on social media.

Magnum says consumers are increasingly looking for food experiences that are exciting, easy to recreate, unexpected and worth sharing, with the Croissant hack providing a perfect example.
