WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre was greeted by The Lord Provost of Glasgow, Philip Braat, as he arrived in Glasgow for the last leg of the WWE Live UK Tour.
Returning to the city where he grew up, Drew arrived in style as he parked up outside the Glasgow City Chambers in an open top tour bus destined for Claymore Country. The Lord Provost came out to welcome Drew back to the city and the two Scottish Titans exchanged gifts. Drew handed over a WWE Championship Title, whilst The Lord Provost presented The Scottish Warrior with Glasgow tartan and a quaich, which is a traditional two handed drinking cup.
Proud of his Scottish heritage, Drew was born and raised in Ayr, 40 miles from Glasgow, meaning the Superstar has had strong ties with Glasgow all his life, from studying at University to training to become a WWE Superstar and performing for ICW. Mostly recently, a giant mural of Drew was revealed in the city earlier in April this year.
The meeting took place ahead of WWE Live’s FINAL show in the UK, after epic shows in Newcastle, London and Cardiff.
