It’s been a star-studded couple of days at Lord’s Cricket Ground, with Love Islanders Chris Hughes, Josh Denzel and Hugo Hammond all spotted enjoying the final of The Hundred. With fireworks, fast-paced sport and electric entertainment, both old and new fans were kept on the edge of their seats throughout the competition.
In the women’s competition, Oval Invincibles stormed to an emphatic 48-run victory over favourites Southern Brave to become the first women’s Hundred champions on a historic afternoon at Lord’s. In the men’s, Southern Brave took the win.
Jax Jones and Joel Corry took to the stage in front of a packed-out Lord’s, with Ella Henderson also performing. Musicians Myles Stephenson, Josh Cuthburt and Chunkz were also spotted in the crowd enjoying the new fast format cricket competition, alongside Olympians Mallory Franklin and Declan Brooks. The Hundred has followed through on its ambition to bring lots of new people into cricket, with half of those who have seen the action during the competition admitting to not watching any live ECB cricket before in 2021!
