SVEDKA Vodka is officially arriving in the UK, and it’s celebrating by giving Londoners a very large reason to get out of the group chat.
Ahead of National Vodka Day on 4 October, the US vodka brand is bringing its Meet Me For A SVEDKA Vodka Martini experience to London, complete with a giant illuminated martini glass, futuristic Fembots and hundreds of free vodka martinis.
The larger-than-life meeting point will appear at Borough Yards from Wednesday 30 September until Thursday 1 October, giving adult visitors a dedicated place to meet friends, grab a cocktail and, in the words of the campaign, finally stop trying to organise everything through the group chat.
A Four-Metre-Tall Martini Glass Is Coming to Borough Yards!
Standing at an impressive four metres high, SVEDKA’s illuminated martini glass fountain is designed to be hard to miss.
Located at Borough Yards on Stoney Street, the installation will act as a giant meeting point for visitors aged 18 and over, making it considerably easier to answer that eternal question: “Where shall we meet?”
The experience will run from 5pm to 9pm on Wednesday 30 September and Thursday 1 October, giving Londoners the chance to meet up before heading elsewhere for the evening.
Hundreds of Free SVEDKA Vodka Martinis!
The giant installation isn’t just there for the photos.
SVEDKA will be serving up to 200 complimentary vodka martinis each day, with guests aged 18 and over able to choose between three different serves.
The menu includes:
- The Timeless – a classic SVEDKA Vodka martini.
- The Glitch – SVEDKA’s take on a Dirty Martini.
- The Reboot – SVEDKA Vodka mixed with passionfruit for a fruity spin on the cocktail.
One complimentary martini is available per eligible guest, subject to age verification and availability.
With 200 cocktails available per day, anyone hoping to grab one will want to get there early.
Meet the Fembots!
SVEDKA’s giant martini glass will also be joined by one of the brand’s most recognisable characters: Fembot.
The futuristic robot, described by the brand as having a surprisingly witty and human appreciation for getting together in real life, will make her UK debut as part of the London activation.
A group of Fembots will also be roaming around London as part of the campaign, carrying the same message: stop endlessly messaging about meeting up and actually meet up.
Lorenzo Farronato, European Marketing Director at Sazerac, said the campaign is designed to encourage people to move plans beyond their phones and into the real world.
SVEDKA Vodka Is Coming to Tesco!
The London activation is part of SVEDKA Vodka’s wider UK arrival, with bottles going on sale from 28 September.
The vodka will be available from selected Tesco supermarkets, Tesco Express stores and Tesco.com, with a recommended retail price of £25 for a 1-litre bottle.
The brand is arriving in the UK ahead of National Vodka Day on 4 October, giving cocktail fans another vodka option to explore as the occasion approaches.
