American burger favourite Shake Shack is officially heading to Manchester, with a brand-new restaurant opening inside the iconic Trafford Centre on Friday 27 March 2026 at 12:00 PM. The highly anticipated launch promises free food, exclusive treats, and a vibrant new dining spot for Mancunians and visitors alike.
To celebrate the grand opening, the first 100 people in line will receive a free ShackBurger or ’Shroom Burger, making it one of the most exciting food launches in the city this spring.
Throughout the day, guests can also enjoy complimentary mini scoops of chocolate frozen custard from a special custard cart while supplies last, helping kick off the opening in true Shake Shack style.

A Design Inspired by Manchester’s Energy
Set within the grand architecture of the Trafford Centre, the new Shack blends the building’s neoclassical marble and gold interiors with a modern design concept called “Electric Frame.”
The interior uses stainless steel accents, neon pink lighting, and a luminous canopy to create a bright, contemporary space that contrasts with the centre’s historic surroundings.
With 134 indoor seats, the restaurant aims to become a lively hub for shoppers, food lovers, and visitors exploring one of the UK’s largest retail destinations.
Local Artwork Brings a Mancunian Touch
To celebrate Manchester’s culture, Shake Shack has collaborated with local illustrator Jessica Lee.
Lee’s artwork brings bold colours and playful characters inspired by everyday city life, translating the joyful experience of visiting Shake Shack into vibrant illustrations. Her designs celebrate both the location and the brand’s upbeat personality, giving the Trafford Centre restaurant a uniquely Mancunian feel.
