Seeds suitable for beginners: Learn about cannabis cultivation

Getting started with the cultivation of any cannabis species requires a lot of research beforehand. In this post you will find information about the best seeds for beginners, the incorrect appearance of the leaves of your plants and the legislation to which cannabis is subjected in various countries. No doubt, this is a simple and quick guide for your learning.

Seeds for beginners

It is a fact that nobody wants to lose the fruits of their harvest, for this reason, there are seeds for beginners. In this case and as the best option, there are autoflowering seeds, since they can be grown indoors. This does not mean that they cannot be grown outdoors, on the contrary, autoflowering seeds can be harvested in an estimated time of 10 to 11 weeks (counting from germination to harvest) either outdoors or indoors.

As for the growth of these seeds, we can assure you that they do not exceed one meter in height. A plant with basic care can harvest up to 50 grams and, in the best case and with special care, can obtain up to 100 grams. In only 100 days of summer, even the summer of the European countries, you will be able to obtain your harvest.

Legislation of the seeds and cultivation of plants

Whist it is still illegal in the UK, the United States of America and the Netherlands have allowed the use of medical cannabis. These powers are joined by Canada, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Turkey and Australia. In fact, there is a list of countries that have totally decriminalized cannabis: Jamaica, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Paraguay, Switzerland, Ukraine and India.

The laws may vary depending on the country you are in, but in certain countries you could grow up to 3 cannabis plants legally. On the contrary, we have as an example the Spanish territory, where there are no laws that regulate the minimum or maximum amount of cannabis plants that you can grow, in short, you could not have even one plant legally.

The leaves of your plant communicate with you

Regardless of the type of cannabis species you are growing (sativa, indica or ruderalis) the leaves of your plant can communicate certain problems. Among the most common changes that can manifest, in the leaves can be mentioned:

  • The appearance of blistered, twisted and wet-looking leaves means that your plant is a victim of spider mites.
  • If you notice that the buds of your plant are blotchy, it may be a calcium deficiency.
  • If your leaves turn a yellowish color, it is due to a lack of iron.
  • Curled, reddened and folded leaves are a sign that your plant is enduring more heat or light than necessary.
  • When the edges of your leaves turn yellow, you will need to vitaminize your plant with magnesium.

Each of these problems in the leaves of your cannabis plants has a solution. In some cases, it is enough to buy specific products or to move your plant to make it more comfortable.
