SAMSUNG UNVEILS AI-POWERED GALAXY WATCH HEALTH FEATURES AHEAD OF MAJOR SAMSUNG HEALTH UPDATE!

Samsung is taking wearable health technology to the next level with a major update to Samsung Health, introducing a suite of AI-powered wellness features designed to transform the upcoming Galaxy Watch into a proactive health companion.

The update, which begins rolling out from 8 June, shifts Samsung’s health ecosystem from passive fitness tracking to intelligent daily guidance, helping users better understand their physical and mental wellbeing through personalised insights.

Samsung Health Gets Smarter with AI-Driven Wellness Insights

The latest update from Samsung introduces several new health-focused tools that analyse biometric data and provide users with easy-to-understand recommendations.

According to Hon Pak, Senior Vice President and Head of the Digital Health Team for Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) Business:

“Samsung Health is evolving to connect health data measured by Galaxy Watch with AI-based insights, enabling users to understand their physical and mental condition more easily and intuitively.”

The enhancements represent another step towards Samsung’s vision of creating a fully AI-powered health platform that works seamlessly across its connected Galaxy ecosystem.

New Vitals Feature Offers Early Health Awareness

One of the headline additions is Vitals, a feature designed to provide a clearer understanding of overnight health trends.

Rather than overwhelming users with constant notifications, Vitals analyses five key biometric indicators while users sleep:

  • Heart rate
  • Heart rate variability
  • Respiratory rate
  • Skin temperature
  • Blood oxygen levels

By comparing these readings against a personalised baseline, Samsung Health can identify meaningful changes and alert users when additional rest or health monitoring may be needed.

Heart Health Score Simplifies Long-Term Wellness Tracking

Building on Samsung’s existing Vascular Load functionality, the new Heart Health Score combines several wellness indicators into a single daily metric.

The score takes into account:

  • Sleep quality
  • Stress levels
  • Physical activity
  • Body composition

The goal is to give users a straightforward overview of the lifestyle habits that may be influencing their long-term cardiovascular wellbeing.

Daily Cardio Load Helps Prevent Overtraining

Fitness enthusiasts will benefit from the introduction of Daily Cardio Load, a feature designed to help users train smarter.

The system measures cardiovascular strain accumulated throughout the day and uses that information to recommend:

  • Appropriate exercise intensity
  • Recovery periods
  • Training targets

This aims to help users achieve fitness goals while reducing the risk of fatigue, burnout and injury.

Fitness Index Delivers Personalised Performance Insights

Samsung is also introducing a new Fitness Index, which evaluates physical performance using metrics including:

  • Heart rate
  • VO2 Max
  • Daily step count

By comparing results against similar users, the feature highlights individual strengths and areas for improvement, offering tailored recommendations and personalised fitness goals.

Samsung Health’s New Design Focuses on Everyday Wellness

Alongside the new health metrics, Samsung Health is receiving a redesigned interface centred around five key wellness categories:

  • Sleep
  • Activity
  • Nutrition
  • Mindfulness
  • Vitals

Users will be able to view AI-generated wellness recommendations alongside their Energy Score from a single dashboard, making it easier to understand how daily habits affect overall health.

Expanded Wellness Features Include Hearing Health Monitoring

Samsung is also upgrading several existing wellness tools.

The Antioxidant Index now includes trend charts and daily history logs, allowing users to better understand how nutritional choices influence their health over time.

Additionally, Samsung has enhanced its AGEs Index, which automatically collects overnight data to build a long-term picture of how lifestyle habits impact the body.

A completely new Hearing Health feature is also being introduced. Working across the Galaxy ecosystem, it monitors environmental noise exposure through Galaxy Watch and provides personalised insights designed to help users protect their hearing in noisy environments.

A More Connected Galaxy Health Ecosystem

Samsung says the true power of these new capabilities comes from the seamless integration between Galaxy Watches, smartphones and connected devices.

By bringing together data from multiple sources, Samsung Health aims to create a unified view of user wellbeing and provide more meaningful guidance throughout the day.

The newly announced features will debut on Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Watch devices, offering a glimpse into the future of AI-powered personal health management.
