Rooster Teeth Animation Reveals Teaser For RWBY Volume 9

It’s been over a year since the last episode of Rooster Teeth’s scientific fantasy anime-like programme, and fans can’t wait for answers following the emotional cliffhanger that was RWBY Volume 8.

For those who don’t know, RWBY is an American animated scientific fantasy series developed by the late Monty Oum and produced by Rooster Teeth Productions. Set in the world of Remnant, which combines modern and fairy tale aesthetics, it follows a group of young people who train to become fighters known as “Huntsmen” and “Huntressess” to safeguard the planet from Grimm creatures.

The title of the anime-influenced show comes from the initials of it’s four main characters. Ruby Rose (Played By: Lindsay Jones), a youthful Huntress in training with seemingly undiscovered abilities, and her colleagues, Weiss Schnee (Played By: Kara Eberle), a rich heiress forging her own path, Blake Belladonna (Played By: Arryn Zech), a scholarly girl with a dark secret, and Yang Xiao Long (Played By: Barbara Dunkelman), Ruby’s older half-sister.

What begins as a mainly light-hearted magical school narrative about young people overcoming monsters in wonderfully choreographed battles while building friendships and having their first romances, quickly transforms into a much darker story you won’t be able to put down.

RWBY Volume 9 is scheduled to pick up where the last volume left off. Cinder Fall (Played By: Jessica Nigri) has taken the lamp relic and plans to utilise it for her own gain, giving the bad guys another triumph. Ironwood has devolved into full-fledged paranoia and dictatorship, while Winter (Played By: Elizabeth Maxwell) who is now the Winter Maiden, attempts to intervene.

Ruby Rose and her crew have fallen into the unknown and are currently stuck in a strange world that is dominated by a large tree, while Atlas is on the point of disaster. The main protagonists’ efforts to return to their world and safeguard the Relics will probably be the focus of RWBY Volume 9.

The official teaser that Rooster Teeth unveiled in the first few days of July 2022 at RTX Austin 2022, hints that the world Ruby Rose and her pals ended up in is more mysterious then at first glance. Having no idea where the Ruby Rose and the team are at this very moment, it appears that they will first need to confront their own identities and how the never-ending battles and failures have affected them before they can go back home to fight the war for humanity against the main antagonist of the hit-series, Salem (Played By: Jen Taylor).
