RAY ANGRY THREE RELEASED TODAY

Ray Angry’s forthcoming second album, Ray Angry Three (J.M.I./Mister Goldfinger Music) will be released on vinyl via J.M.I. Recordings in late summer.  The digital release will be out on August 18th via distribution by Mister Goldfinger Music Group, Angry’s production company.  This album will feature Angry on solo piano. Ray Angry Three is a solo piano record mainly focused on new works composed by Ray Angry and two cover songs from the great David Bowie and Thelonious Monk. Each piece takes you on a journey that explores the inner workings of a relationship, both professional and interpersonal, in a musical format. This is an album about relationships.

“Round Midnight / No Space No Time” will be the featured track. Thelonious Monk is one of Angry’s favorite black American composers and “Round Midnight” is one of Monk’s most iconic compositions. “No Space No Time” is inspired by the way Monk uses space and time in his music. Angry wanted to use “Round Midnight” as a bridge to express how much he is inspired by Monk’s music.

About Ray Angry Three, Angry comments:

“This is my most personal album thus far in my artistic journey. Playing solo piano has always been rewarding for me on so many levels. Because it’s such an enormous healing tool, I’ve used this album to reflect on past relationships. The songs on the album are all dedicated to individuals who have had a huge impact on my life. My prayer is that Ray Angry Three becomes a source of goodness and comfort for each listener. It goes without saying how grateful I am to have partnered with J.M.I. on this release. It’s wonderful to work with a company that truly loves the art of making and recording music. Thank you to everyone that has been involved in the creation of this album.”

Ray Angry Three will be released digitally on August 18th worldwide
