Retro gaming fans have a major new event to look forward to this summer as Pixel Arcadia, a brand-new digital showcase dedicated entirely to classic gaming culture and retro-inspired titles, has officially been announced.
Created by London-based marketing agency Pixel Helix, the inaugural broadcast will take place on 24 August 2026, airing at 19:00 BST, just ahead of the annual Gamescom festivities. The showcase promises a fresh approach to gaming presentations by focusing on storytelling, preservation and community rather than rapid-fire trailers and marketing-heavy reveals.
A Showcase Dedicated to Retro Games and Gaming History
Unlike traditional gaming showcases, Pixel Arcadia has been designed specifically to celebrate the past, present and future of retro gaming.
