PADEL SOCIAL CLUB SECURES £5.5M INVESTMENT TO EXPAND ACROSS LONDON AND THE UK

London’s booming padel scene just received a major boost. Padel Social Club (PSC) has secured £5.5 million in fresh investment to accelerate its expansion across the capital and beyond, with plans to open new clubs, build additional courts and widen access to one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.

The funding round includes backing from Clark Group and Active Partners, alongside several family offices and high-profile investors such as Stormzy.

A New Era for Padel in London

Padel Social Club is positioning itself at the centre of London’s rapidly expanding padel culture. Rather than simply building courts, PSC is developing design-led, community-focused spaces that blend sport, lifestyle and social connection — a model increasingly popular with younger players.

With more than 30,000 players already using its venues and peak-time bookings exceeding 95%, demand for courts continues to outstrip supply. This latest investment aims to close that gap while reshaping how sport is experienced in the city.

New Padel Clubs Coming to London

PSC’s expansion will focus on high-demand locations across Zones 1–2, making it the only operator with multiple central London sites. Three flagship venues are already confirmed:

  • Paddington (Zone 1) – Opening June 2026 with four courts (two covered, two outdoor), set to become the most central place to play padel in London.
  • The O2 – Opening November 2026 with five courts (two indoor, three outdoor), bringing padel into one of the capital’s busiest entertainment hubs.
  • Kentish Town – Opening November 2026 with eight courts (five indoor, three outdoor), creating North London’s largest dedicated padel facility.

These new locations will add 17 courts to PSC’s growing network, helping meet surging demand while expanding access to the sport.

Why Padel Is Exploding in the UK

Often described as a hybrid of tennis and squash, padel has become one of the fastest-growing sports globally — and the UK is now its hottest market. According to Playtomic (2025), Britain delivers the highest court utilisation rates worldwide, highlighting the sport’s rapid adoption.

Padel’s appeal lies in its accessibility and social nature. Easy to learn and highly interactive, it attracts players looking for a more community-driven alternative to traditional fitness routines.

Community-Driven Sport Meets Lifestyle Culture

Speaking on the investment, PSC Co-Founder and CEO Kristian Hunter emphasised the brand’s core philosophy:

“Padel has an incredible ability to bring people together. It’s social, accessible and genuinely fun to play.”

That ethos is central to PSC’s identity. Its clubs are designed not just for gameplay, but as social hubs where people can connect, unwind and build community around sport.

Investor Steve Clark echoed this sentiment, highlighting the strength of PSC’s brand and its ability to scale within a rapidly growing category.

How to Get Involved

As new venues prepare to launch, players can register for early access via the official Padel Social Club website. Early registrants will also be entered into a prize draw to win:

  • An annual membership
  • A one-to-one coaching session
  • A premium padel racket

Whether you’re a seasoned player or curious beginner, PSC’s expansion could make it easier than ever to get on court.

The Future of Padel in the UK

With fresh investment, celebrity backing and a clear vision for lifestyle-driven sport, Padel Social Club is shaping what the future of padel could look like in Britain.

As the sport continues its meteoric rise, London is quickly becoming a key hub — and PSC is betting big on being at the heart of it.
