Old Meets New at Salon Privé’s Sloane Street Concours

Salon Privé is set to take over Sloane Street this April, bringing a one-day Concours to the heart of Knightsbridge and Chelsea. The event will showcase a curated selection of classic and contemporary cars, positioned along one of London’s most recognisable luxury streets. Running ahead of Salon Privé London at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, it offers an early glimpse into the wider automotive showcase that is a key calendar event for car enthusiasts across the UK.

The display will bring together 25 automobiles spanning classic icons and modern supercars, presented under the theme ‘Old vs New’. This pairing places heritage models alongside their contemporary counterparts, highlighting the evolution of automotive design and industry. Expect names such as Ferrari, McLaren, Rolls-Royce, Lotus and Jaguar among the line-up, each representing different eras and approaches to performance and craftsmanship.

Highlights across the display include a strong focus on rare and significant vehicles, many of which are typically only seen in private collections or dedicated Concours settings. Nichols Cars will present the N1A, a tribute to Steve Nichols’ design legacy, while Automotive Artisans and Halcyon Cars bring modern interpretations of classic automotive design. Joe Macari’s display will feature standout models such as the Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, McLaren F1 GTR and Maserati MC12 GT1. The wider showcase will also include contributions from Aston Martin, Ferrari and McLaren as part of Stratstone’s Club HLS presence.

Sloane Street itself provides a fitting backdrop, with the exhibition set between Harriet Street and Cadogan Place. The location sits alongside flagship boutiques including Hermès and Bottega Veneta, reinforcing its position as one of London’s most recognisable luxury destinations. The event also celebrates the street’s recent transformation into a greener, more pedestrian-friendly boulevard following major improvements.

Salon Privé Sloane Street Concours takes place on Saturday 11 April, running from 11am to 5pm, and is free to attend. The one-day event offers visitors the chance to explore the display at their own pace before the main Salon Privé London event at the Royal Hospital Chelsea from 16 to 18 April.
