This new version has the same strong responsiveness and support for your foot, like the arch and toes – Whether your goal is long marathon miles, squeezing in a speed session or for a simple everyday run, it’s still the established road runner innovation you can trust, day after day, run after run.
The Pegasus 40 has a redesigned mid-foot band for a more secure but forgiving fit shaped for all sized arches. The redesigned upper mesh gives the same great Pegasus fit with even more breathability, unlocking the traditional sandwich mesh upper by engineering each layer individually. The result is a more comfortable and adjustable fit.

Improved Collar and Comfort
The increased foam around the collar provides a comfortable fit. The internal linings and padding throughout the upper were reworked from the Nike Pegasus 39.
Breathability
A highly tuned single-layer mesh with familiar and trusted structures and yarns creates a breathable fit. The engineered mesh helps improve air flow in hot, sweaty conditions.
Propulsive Cushioning
Nike React technology delivers a smooth, responsive ride throughout the midsole. The Pegasus 40 includes two Zoom Air units at the forefoot and heel, for an energised feel at toe-off. The result is a smooth transition from heel to toe.
The Nike Pegasus 40 will be available in specific women’s and men’s colorways, launching on 6.4 for Nike members exclusively and on 13.4 across Nike.com, Nike stores and selected retailers.
