Apple Original Films, in collaboration with the acclaimed filmmakers behind Top Gun: Maverick, presents the exhilarating action-packed feature F1, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, seven-time FORMULA 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Chad Oman, this adrenaline-fueled film takes audiences inside the high-stakes world of professional racing.
Set against the backdrop of the fierce and thrilling world of FORMULA 1, F1 follows Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), once hailed as the sport’s brightest star in the 1990s. After a devastating accident nearly derailed his career, Sonny is now a nomadic racer-for-hire. When Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), his former teammate and owner of a struggling FORMULA 1 team, seeks his help to revive the team on the brink of collapse, Sonny is persuaded to make a comeback for one last shot at redemption. Racing alongside the team’s talented yet ambitious rookie, Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), Sonny must face both the relentless competition and the ghosts of his past. In the world of FORMULA 1, your teammate can be your toughest rival, and the road to redemption is one you can’t travel alone.
The film also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem. F1 was filmed during actual Grand Prix weekends, capturing the intense action and competition of the sport as the team goes head-to-head with racing legends.
