As the world gears up for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, McLaren Automotive has taken the spotlight with the reveal of Project Viva — a bespoke, one-of-one McLaren 750S crafted by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the brand’s exclusive division dedicated to personalisation and one-off commissions.
A Celebration of Innovation and Craft
Project Viva embodies the energy and spectacle of Las Vegas, celebrating the shared spirit of innovation, ambition, and performance that defines both the city and McLaren. The project showcases MSO’s artistry, transforming emotion and place into automotive design through hand-painted craftsmanship.
Instead of replicating Vegas’ trademark neon colours, Project Viva reimagines the “City of Lights” through a monochrome lens, capturing its architecture, movement and atmosphere through intricate linework. The result is a ‘Sketch in Motion’ livery, blending the rhythm of the city with McLaren’s own racing heritage.
The Details That Define It
The custom paintwork includes Muriwai White — a nod to McLaren’s heritage — and Vegas Nights, a brand-new MSO-exclusive colour. This deep black finish shimmers with subtle cyan, magenta and green flecks designed to echo the glow of the Las Vegas Strip after dark.
Every brushstroke and sketch tells a story, with Formula 1 stars Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri adding their personal touches. Their hand-applied details include McLaren’s tenth Constructors’ World Championship star on the rear bumper, celebrating the team’s recent victory.
