Krispy Kreme Joins in Wordle Hype

Online word games have received a massive boost in popularity lately. With the success of brain-straining games like Wordle its clear that people are up for a challenge. That’s why Krispy Kreme is on a mission to keep the nation guessing and rewarding their customers with a free Original Glazed Doughnut if they manage to crack a clue.

Krispy Kreme’s very own #Kryptograms challenge is launching online and will be giving away a FREE iconic fan-favourite, the Original Glazed Doughnut to everyone that cracks the clues given on Krispy Kreme’s social channels.

To play, all you have to do is look out for Krispy Kreme’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or TikTok socials where the clue will be posted.  When the clue has been solved, you can simply head into your nearest Krispy Kreme retail store and claim your delicious Original Glazed Doughnut.  But no spoilers will be accepted – you’ll need to prove you’ve solved it yourself!  For terms & conditions, please visit www.krispykreme.co.uk.

As part of the launch of the #Kryptrogram campaign, champion quizzer, Anne Hegarty will be on hand to ensure the clues aren’t too easy or tricky to solve.  Discussing why we love a brainteasing challenge so much, Anne commented “It’s proven that quizzes help with concentration, as well as helping to build confidence.  It’s also interesting that even though a lot of people feel they might not have learned as much as they thought on certain subjects in school, they still have a real thirst for knowledge. And, there’s nothing better than the joy of answering a question correctly and even more so, when you are rewarded with a free doughnut for your efforts.”

To figure out why Brits love playing quizzes so much, poll of 2005 people was conducted which showed that 78% of Brits regularly play a quiz; 22% at the pub; 25% love doing a daily crossword and 22% simply shout out their answers to the TV or radio.

Nadine Singler Krispy Kreme UK and Ireland’s Director of Marketing & Sustainability said: “At Krispy Kreme it’s our ongoing mission to bring joy and smiles to the nation. Our new #Kryptograms campaign will do just that and really keep the nation guessing as we head into spring this March.”
