Oh honey! New Orleans-born chicken brand Popeyes UK is bringing back the sweet heat, with the return of its certified fan-favourite Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich.
Available nationwide from the 15th July, the sweet fiery kickin’ sandwich is back by popular demand. Popeyes sold over a quarter of a million Hot Honey Sandwiches in just three months last year when it featured as a swicy (the trending flavour combination of sweet and spicy) limited edition on the menu – making it the most successful Limited Time Offer ever from the brand. Since then, fans have flooded social media declaring their love for the range and calling for its return. Popeyes Hot Honey has amassed over 21 million TikTok posts, with passionate pleas echoing across X.
A sweet and spicy twist on the iconic Popeyes Sandwich, the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich features the juiciest 12-hour marinated and hand-breaded Shatter Crunchin’ chicken breast. It’s drizzled in tasty Hot Honey sauce, topped with Cheddar cheese and fresh pickles, and nestled in the brand’s signature soft brioche bun.
The Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich is joined by the brand-new Hot Honey Saucin’ Boneless, the return of Hot Honey Saucin’ Wings, and the Hot Honey Box Meal to complete the full Hot Honey range.
Hot Honey Saucin’ Boneless are 100% fresh boneless chicken breast pieces featuring Popeyes’ iconic Shatter Crunchin’ coating, sauced up in Hot Honey. Returning to the menu once again are Hot Honey Saucin’ Wings, featuring sweet and fiery hot wings lathered in Popeyes house-developed Hot Honey sauce that packs a punch. Available in 6, 8, or 12 wings – or as part of a meal, including fries and a drink – they are a must-try for fans looking to spice up their order.
Fans of the flavour can also make it a meal and get even more chicken with the Hot Honey Box Meal. Hungry customers can enjoy the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, paired with a side of two Chicken Tenders, three Hot Wings or one-piece Signature Chicken, regular fries and a regular drink for just £11.29.
