Hollywood legend Harrison Ford brought a touch of the Scottish Highlands to Los Angeles this week as he celebrated the launch of his exclusive whisky collaboration with Glenmorangie at the iconic Sunset Tower Hotel.
The special event marked the debut of the Glenmorangie Harrison Ford Limited Edition, a new single malt Scotch whisky created in partnership with the legendary actor.
Harrison Ford Raises a Dram in Traditional Scottish Style
Stepping out in a traditional kilt and sporran, Ford fully embraced the Scottish spirit as he personally poured drams for guests from behind the bar. Among the attendees were skateboarding icon Tony Hawk and actor Blake Anderson.
The evening also featured red carpet filmmaker Cole Walliser, who swapped his famous Glambot setup for a playful “Dram-bot” moment to capture Ford’s whisky celebration in style.
A Whisky Inspired by the Scottish Highlands
Ford reunited with Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s Director of Whisky Creation, who worked closely with the actor on the limited-edition release.
The collaboration reportedly grew from Ford’s genuine love of whisky and his experience filming Glenmorangie’s cinematic campaign, Once Upon a Time in Scotland. The humorous campaign was directed by Joel Edgerton and showcased Ford exploring Scotland’s whisky culture with his trademark dry humour.
During the event, guests were treated to a screening of the campaign’s final episode, where Ford unveiled the finished single malt and summed it up with his characteristically understated verdict: “It’s very nice.”
