London’s original Hard Rock Cafe is marking a major milestone this June, as the iconic venue celebrates its 55th anniversary with a full day of live entertainment, special offers and exclusive merchandise at its famous Old Park Lane location.
The historic restaurant, which helped launch a global hospitality empire, is inviting guests to join the celebrations on 14 June with live music, family activities, a Harley-Davidson ride-by and the chance to enjoy its legendary burger for just 55p.

As part of the anniversary festivities, visitors to Hard Rock Cafe London can purchase the restaurant’s famous Original Legendary® Burger for only 55p between 11:30am and 1:30pm.
The burger that helped establish Hard Rock’s reputation worldwide features a steak burger topped with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, onion rings, lettuce and tomato, all served in a toasted artisan bun alongside seasoned fries.
Given the popularity of the offer, guests are encouraged to arrive early. The promotion is available on a walk-in basis only, with table reservations reopening from 2pm onwards.
A Full Day of Live Entertainment
The anniversary event will run throughout the day, beginning with live music performances across both floors from 11:30am until 7:30pm.
Families can also enjoy a range of children’s entertainment during the afternoon, including face painting and balloon artistry.
One of the day’s standout moments will take place at noon when a Harley-Davidson ride-by arrives outside the venue. The display celebrates one of Hard Rock’s longest-standing partnerships and is expected to provide a memorable photo opportunity for visitors.
Later in the day, at 5pm, guests will be invited to participate in a special cake-cutting ceremony commemorating the venue’s 55-year legacy.
The event will also feature appearances from some of the restaurant’s original servers, offering visitors a unique opportunity to hear first-hand stories from Hard Rock’s remarkable history in London.
The celebrations will continue into the evening with a DJ set and Happy Hour beginning at 8pm.
Exclusive 55th Anniversary Merchandise Launches
To commemorate the occasion, Hard Rock Cafe London is unveiling a limited-edition 55th Anniversary retail collection available exclusively at the Old Park Lane venue.
The collection takes inspiration from the restaurant’s rich heritage and includes:
- Retro logo sweatshirts
- Denim jackets
- Anniversary T-shirts
- Commemorative hats
The exclusive range is expected to be popular with collectors and longtime Hard Rock fans alike.
The Story Behind London’s Original Hard Rock Cafe
Hard Rock Cafe first opened its doors on Old Park Lane in June 1971, founded by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton as a small American-style burger restaurant in the heart of London.
The venue quickly became synonymous with music culture and rock-and-roll history. One of its most famous moments came in 1979 when legendary guitarist Eric Clapton gifted a guitar to reserve his favourite seat at the bar. The gesture sparked a tradition that would eventually lead to one of the world’s most famous collections of music memorabilia.
Today, Hard Rock International operates more than 300 locations across the globe, but the Old Park Lane cafe remains the birthplace of the brand and a key destination for music fans visiting the capital.
