This October, Hard Rock International launches its annual PINKTOBER campaign as the brand comes together to support breast cancer awareness and research with limited-edition menu items, merchandise, and local events.

Throughout the month, Hard Rock’s London restaurants, Hard Rock Cafe London – the first and original restaurant on Old Park Lane which celebrated 50 years in June – and Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus will be hosting fundraising events to support the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, the charitable arm of Hard Rock, with proceeds benefiting the Caron Keating Foundation – a fundraising charity set-up by television presenter Gloria Hunniford and her sons Paul and Michael. Gloria lost her daughter Caron Keating in 2004, at the age of 41, after a seven-year battle with breast cancer.

Television presenter and Founder of the Caron Keating Foundation, Gloria Hunniford said, “Hard Rock has been an incredible support to Caron’s Foundation over the years, and after this unprecedented time with the pandemic, their support means even more. It is wonderful to see light at the end of the tunnel with the return of real-life fundraising events like PINKTOBER. I can’t wait to come down to the Hard Rock Cafes in London on the 13 and 14 October, to see people unite for breast cancer awareness and research. From female vocalists to pink-themed burgers, it’s going to be a lot of fun and we hugely appreciate anybody who wants to come down and get involved. Most of all, enormous thanks to all Hard Rock personnel for their continued support”.

PINTOKBER events in London:

The Flavours of Pink – 3 new burgers

Throughout October, guests to the London restaurants or those ordering on delivery can enjoy a limited-time menu of pink-themed items such as a Mushroom & Bourbon onion burger, the ultimate “pub” burger and the Blue Cheese & Bacon Burger, with a new Tropical Margarita to wash it all down. £1 from every burger sold will go to Hard Rock Heals to support PINKTOBER.

PINKTOBER Takes the Stage – with entertainment from female artists

Powerhouse female vocalists will amp up the PINKTOBER celebrations at Hard Rock Cafe London on Wednesday 13 October and Piccadilly Circus on Thursday 14 October, with performances from 6.30pm. Artists include:

Hard Rock Cafe London

  • Natalie Shay – an indie pop artist hailing from North London with influences including Haim, Little Comets and Fickle Friends.
  • Erin Bowman – with music inspired by pop artists of the 90’s.

Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus

Limited-Edition Pinktober Merchandise

This year, Hard Rock International will offer uniquely designed, limited-edition merchandise in support of breast cancer awareness and research, which include a PINKTOBER-themed Hard Rock t-shirt and a newly designed PINKTOBER pin. Additionally, through the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, 10% of all proceeds will go to charities that help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Those looking to shop the PINKTOBER merchandise can visit the Rock Shop at Hard Rock Cafe London and Piccadilly Circus or the online Rock Shop at https://shop.hardrock.com.

Bruna Slater-Gallon, General Manager at Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus, comments: Hard Rock Cafe’s London restaurants are honoured to support those in need, especially those in our local community with the Caron Keating Foundation during PINKTOBER. It’s a privilege to bring our guests and community members together through fundraising events that deliver a unifying message of strength, hope and awareness for those affected by this disease.”

Hard Rock continues to live out its mottos of “Love All – Serve All” and “Take Time To Be Kind” with its steadfast support throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with the goal of lending a hand to the people and communities that need it most.
