German Doner Kebab (GDK) is spicing up the season with its boldest creation yet — the Inferno OG, a limited-edition twist on the brand’s beloved OG kebab.
Crafted for spice enthusiasts, the Inferno OG features GDK’s signature blend of premium meats, fresh salad, and toasted waffle bread, all brought to life with the exclusive Inferno Sauce, made using ghost chillies — one of the world’s hottest peppers.
The Heat Is On
Ghost chillies, also known as Bhut Jolokia, are over 400 times hotter than jalapeños on the Scoville scale. This fiery addition comes at the perfect time, as more Brits are embracing spice than ever. According to recent data, 53% of UK consumers now prefer spicy food, up 10% in just three years — with the average Brit enjoying 11 spicy meals per week.
GDK’s Inferno Sauce joins their existing range of fan-favourite dips — Yoghurt, Garlic, and Spicy — as the ultimate choice for those ready to test their limits.
“Inferno OG isn’t just about heat. It’s about elevating what our fans already love,” said Chris Waters, Chief Marketing Officer at GDK. “Our customers’ palates are evolving, and they’ve been asking us to turn up the spice. Inferno OG gives them exactly that — the kebab they crave, with the extra kick they deserve.”
A Fiery Follow-Up to a Milestone Year
The Inferno OG’s arrival follows a landmark year for German Doner Kebab, which celebrated the opening of its 150th UK restaurant and its first-ever Irish location. The brand also launched its Fiver Menu, offering premium-quality kebabs at an everyday price — a move that’s made waves across high streets and shopping centres nationwide.
Since first launching in the UK in 2015, GDK has redefined the kebab experience, blending traditional doner flavours with a modern twist and expanding rapidly through a successful franchise model.
The Inferno OG officially launches on 5th November, just in time for Bonfire Night, and will be available nationwide across all GDK restaurants. Fans can also look forward to more flavour innovations in 2026 as the brand continues to push culinary boundaries.
