FORGET CAVIAR, IT’S ALL ABOUT WIFI | NEW RESEARCH UNCOVERS MODERN LIFE’S LITTLE LUXURIES

Forget diamonds, darling! New research from Müller Yogurt & Desserts reveals thetruekeys to British happiness: high-speed internet (31%), next-day delivery (28%), heated air dryers (15%) and that all-important after-dinner treat (23%).

Turns out, Brits typically enjoy a touch of luxury five times a month, but here’s the juicy bit: 70% are keeping their luxury indulgences on thedown low. Nearly half (45%) are hiding their secret stash from loved ones, resorting to desperate measures from enjoying it in the bathroom (43%), repackaging it up in disguise (32%), to pretending to ‘forget’ to order it (21%).

It seems the “me moment” is prime time for luxury, but a shocking 46% feel too busy to indulge.

Enter Müller Bliss, on a mission to redefine luxury and prove it’s hiding in plain sight.

The indulgent yogurt brand has teamed up with Great British Menu winner and former Michelin-starred chef, Kate Austen, to show us how to inject a littleextrainto our daily grind.

Kate has created “Bliss Bites” inspired by two new Müller Bliss flavours: Whipped Greek Style Strawberries & Cream with miniature biscuits and Whipped Greek Style Lemon Meringue Pie flavour.

And while Müller Bliss is delicious straight from the pot, in Kate’s serving suggestion for “Bliss Bites”, she’s added a few little extras to elevate the multi-sensorial product cues for sofa-worthy deliciousness.

Kate’s “Bliss Bites” serving suggestions:

Berry Seductive:A twist on a Great British Menu dish, featuring Bliss whipped Greek style yogurt and Bliss miniature biscuits. Kate’s dessert features the addition of macerated strawberries, pink peppercorns, and fresh mint. Served in a Champagne coupe, becausewhy not?

Zesty Bliss:Layers of creamy Bliss whipped yogurt with Bliss white chocolate coated meringue style pieces and mini shortcakes, plus Kate’s inclusion of a tangy lemon compote, fresh basil, lemon zest and white chocolate shavings to add a touch of decadence.

The survey also revealed a whopping 82% find “little luxuries” positively impact their mood, but our definition of “luxury” has had a serious glow-up. Goodbye holidays abroad (47%), landlines (32%) and avocados (25%) and hello ready-made desserts (34%) and robot vacuum cleaners (14%).

Food reigns supreme though, with more than a third (39%) choosing food as the more affordable luxury over holidays (20%) or fancy skincare (9%).

And if it has a decadent taste, even better! More than half (51%) find it makes food feel more luxurious, and 58% said they’re most likely to add a little luxury to dessert.

Marina Lazu, Müller Bliss Brand Manager, said: “At Müller Bliss, we believe luxury isn’t about extravagance, it’s about those small moments that bring joy. Our new Whipped Greek Style flavours offer a way to elevate the everyday with a little bit of luxury in every spoonful. We know that if our shoppers could extract Bliss from the pot, they’d happily serve it at a dinner party – so we’re delighted to partner with Kate to show them how!”

Kate Austen said: “For me, little luxuries are basically edible happiness, from a comfort dish to a sneaky ready-made dessert, it’s my instant mood lifter.

“Müller Bliss is the epitome of a little luxury, and the best bit? It can be enjoyed however you like, whether you swirl everything together, layer up every spoonful, or like me, add little extras. Because let’s face it, little luxuries are the kind of thing that truly elevate the everyday!”

Müller Bliss Whipped Greek Style Strawberries & Cream and Müller Bliss Whipped Greek Style Lemon Meringue Pie inspired or flavour are available now in Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons in 4-pack multipacks, RRP £3.00 (pricing is at the sole discretion of the individual retailer).  Asda to follow on 7th July.
