Foot Locker Launches Exclusive Nike TN Design Inspired By Parisian Cultural District

Foot Locker Europe reveals the new and exclusive Nike Tuned (TN) SD. The Foot Locker exclusive sneaker design is inspired by the district of Saint-Denis, a northern neighbourhood in Paris, France and a hub for cultural evolution in music, sports and style for the country. The launch of the Nike TN SD is the first in a series of exclusive Nike TN designs, inspired by some of the most exciting and culturally relevant communities in Europe.

The Saint-Denis district, an epicentre of Parisian cultural transformation, has been home to a host of French icons, including Paris Saint-German football player, Kylian Mbappé, and hip-hop group, NTM. The community is seen as setting the tone culturally for the rest of France, closely aligning it with Foot Locker’s brand values and making it an obvious choice to be the first location to inspire the design of this new line of sneakers. This also follows the opening of Foot Locker France’s first community store in Saint-Denis last month.

Available from now, initially at the Foot Locker Saint-Denis store, the new stunning design takes inspiration from the interests and passions of the youth and communities in the Saint-Denis district who are so central to the modern Parisian culture. The sneakers will also be available across Europe at Foot Locker stores and online from Thursday 5th of May.

The ’93’ on the tongue of the Nike TN SD represents the area code for Saint-Denis, but the meaning behind it is much more than just numbers. The ’93’ represents the vibe and common ground of the people and communities that live in the district. This ’93’ has also been overlaid onto a French tricolor-inspired, custom TN logo.

The sneaker upper features a cage like design, which mimics the lines and design of a football pitch. Football is a big part of life for youth in the Saint-Denis region, with communities enjoying both matches at the stadiums, as well as playing together in the streets.

“We’re so excited for the launch of the Nike TN SD, which will be available exclusively at Foot Locker this spring. The values and style of the youth and communities who live and socialise in the Saint-Denis region are well aligned to Foot Locker as a brand, and we are honoured to pay homage to them in this way. That’s why this exclusive design is a fantastic way to launch the TN partnership, which will see additional regional designs and rollouts over the coming months.”

Carmen Seman, Vice President of Marketing for Foot Locker in Europe

Nike Tuned SD will be available at Foot Locker stores and online across Europe from the 30th of April.
