FOOT LOCKER CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF BEING HOME TO THE ICONIC NIKE TUNED

Foot Locker celebrates 25 years of the iconic Nike Tuned (TN) with the launch of a series of new and exclusive products, a global content series and string of events across Europe, all of which have been created as a unique and iconic celebration moment for the TN community.

Since 1998 Foot Locker has been the Home of TN, a timeless sneaker that has left an indelible mark on the world of streetwear, becoming an iconic silhouette for Foot Locker and much-loved style by the sneaker community. The TN has cemented itself at the heart of culture, creating its own ‘TN community’ thanks to the launch of hundreds of limited editions, colourways and hyper-local designs such as the recent ‘Marseille’ release which take inspiration from and represent cultural diversity and local communities.

Faces of the campaign and true TN lovers from the Foot Locker community, Jasmin Sehra, illustrator and designer, and The Lost Boys Society, a clothing brand founded by Eddz and Luke, represent the three pillars of this 25 year celebration: fashion, art and music.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of TN, Foot Locker empowered the passionate sneaker community with a vote on their social channels to determine the top four TNs of all time. Whittling the candidates down to a final 16 was the first challenge, before a series of battles inspired over 150,000 votes from around the globe to land on four finalists. These four finalists have been blended to make the new, exclusive, and mesmerising hybrid, ‘TN 25th’. Featuring tough all-black midsoles which are enhanced with an eye-popping asymmetric fade that veers from ‘Sanguine’ on the medial side to ‘Hyper Blue’ via ‘Fireberry’ while the ‘Palm’ motif from the classic 2019 edition of the same name is subtly sublimated into the mesh.

In addition to ‘TN 25th’, Foot Locker have partnered with Sneaker Freaker and Nike to create a limited-edition coffee table book which celebrates 25 years of Nike TN. A decade in the making, the book tells the story of the iconic sneaker, including a detailed timeline, iconic styles, exclusive interviews with the likes of TN designer and industry veteran, Sean McDowell, and plenty more.

To create a unified celebratory moment throughout Europe, Foot Locker stores in key cities including Paris, London, Barcelona, Milan and Berlin, will be hosting events on the 8th November for local partners and talents to attend and celebrate the anniversary and launches.

TN 25th (RRP £184.99) and Sneaker Freaker Book (RRP £39.99) will be available at Foot Locker stores across Europe and online from 9th November 2023.
