Footwear brand FitFlop has teamed up with global colour authority Pantone for a brand-new collaboration that blends biomechanics with colour psychology. Launching online from 9 July, the FitFlop x Pantone collection explores how colour can influence comfort, mood and everyday wellbeing through thoughtfully designed footwear.
The collaboration, titled “The Colour of Comfort,” introduces a palette of soft pastels and grounding earth tones designed to evoke calm, optimism and emotional balance while maintaining FitFlop’s signature comfort-focused technology.
A Collection Inspired by Colour and Comfort
Rather than treating colour as simply an aesthetic choice, FitFlop and Pantone have developed a collection where every shade has been intentionally selected to enhance the emotional experience of wearing footwear.
The collaboration combines Pantone’s renowned expertise in colour with FitFlop’s biomechanical approach to footwear design, creating shoes intended to support both physical comfort and mental wellbeing. According to the brands, the collection reflects a growing trend towards products that actively contribute to everyday wellness.
Four Signature Styles
The first FitFlop x Pantone release features 12 styles across four of FitFlop’s most recognisable silhouettes, each arriving in three carefully selected colourways.
The collection includes:
- IQushion Flip-Flop
- Delicato Poise Mary-Jane
- Delicato Poise Ballerina
- Retro-Q Sneaker
Prices range from £38 to £110, making the collaboration accessible across multiple styles and budgets.
Designed Around Emotional Wellbeing
Every colour featured in the collection has been selected with emotional impact in mind.
Rather than focusing purely on visual appeal, the footwear uses warm neutrals and calming pastel shades intended to create feelings of lightness, balance and positivity throughout the day.
The collaboration also incorporates subtle Pantone branding throughout the shoes, including signature Colour Chip details and precise Colour ID markings that celebrate the partnership between the two brands.
What the Brands Had to Say
Louise Noble, Chief Product and Brand Officer at FitFlop, said the partnership was built around the relationship between movement and emotion.
“Colour has the power to influence how we feel, just as comfort influences how we move and how confidently we experience everyday life.”
Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute™, added that the collaboration demonstrates how colour can become something people experience physically as well as visually.
“Each shade was selected to evoke lightness, ease and emotional calm, showing how colour can move beyond the visual to become something truly felt with every step.”
