ELLA BOH DROPS HAUNTING NEW SINGLE “DIE” WITH ELLISE

Rising independent-pop artist Ella Boh returns with her haunting new single, “DiE,” featuring dark-pop legend Ellise. With Ella’s signature gritty production (Freya Skye, Ari Abdul) and the duo’s evocative lyrics, the track delves into the complex and often-darker side of love that’s so intense it feels all-consuming. The official music video for the track also premieres today, available HERE.

“DiE” is about loving someone so much that you want to hold them too tight and make them yours forever. Ellise is one of my closest friends, and we’ve been collaborating for years, so it felt super obvious that we’d finally make a song together. On a random Thursday night mid mid-hangout, we just decided to do it. I think we ended up finishing it around 2 a.m. We sat on it for a few months while she toured, then once she got back we wrapped it up and shot an entire music video in just a couple of days. I can’t wait for the world to finally have it, we had so much fun making this one.”

In the accompanying video, directed by Megan Malone, Ella and Ellise bring the song’s dreamlike world to life, exploring the uncanny narrative of a “love story” doomed by obsession.

“DiE” represents the deep-rooted, almost subconscious obsession that sets in during the most intense relationships.” Ellise added, “We made this song with the feeling of neediness and the fear of being left in mind. “DiE” is a dark pop admittance of emotional dependence.”

The track follows the release of Ella’s debut EP, milk & honey, and its standout track “out of order” featuring Ari Abdul, which landed her on the cover of Spotify’s Salt playlist. She is known for creating music that resonates with a younger generation seeking authentic connection. Her dedication to her craft and her community, The Butterfly Movement, has cemented her as an artist who is not only making music but also fostering a space for self-expression and identity to take flight.

“DiE” also serves as Ellise’s first release following her deluxe sophomore album, PRETTY EVIL, which quickly rose to one of her top-streaming projects and was featured in the likes of LADYGUNN and BroadwayWorld.
