Son Of Spergy Becomes Daniel Caesar’s Highest-Charting Album

Released in late 2025 via Republic Records, Son Of Spergy debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Billboard R&B Albums Chart, becoming Caesar’s highest-charting project to date.

The album explores themes of family, reconciliation and self-reflection, particularly Caesar’s evolving relationship with his father. Songs including “Moon” featuring Bon Iver, “Who Knows,” and “Root Of All Evil” have quickly become fan favourites.

Speaking about the album’s inspiration, Caesar explained that the record reflects his growing understanding of himself and his family relationships as he enters his 30s.

The project also features appearances from Sampha, Yebba and Blood Orange.

Award Wins and Career Milestones

The tour announcement follows a huge year for Caesar, who recently picked up multiple honours at the Juno Awards, including Songwriter of the Year and Best Contemporary R&B Recording.

His critically acclaimed debut album Freudian also achieved double Platinum certification, while hit singles including “Get You” and “Best Part” reached 7x Platinum status.

Earlier this year, Caesar delivered a new performance for NPR Tiny Desk Concert and joined artists including Mustafa, Rex Orange County and Jazmine Sullivan for the Artists for Aid benefit concert hosted by Bella Hadid and Pedro Pascal in Los Angeles.

Collaborations Continue to Expand Daniel Caesar’s Reach

Alongside his solo success, Caesar has remained one of music’s most in-demand collaborators. He recently worked closely with Tyler, The Creator on CHROMAKOPIA and contributed to Justin Bieber’s GRAMMY-nominated album SWAG.

He also reunited with Rex Orange County for the two-track release “Rearrange My World / There’s A Field (That’s Only Yours).”
