North London football club Arsenal F.C. has unveiled a powerful new documentary series, No More Red: The Arsenal Mixtape, highlighting how music, mentorship and creativity can help provide safer spaces for young people across the capital.
The three-part series follows ten emerging musicians from North London as they take part in a 12-week music development programme created in partnership with youth organisation Gain CTRL. The initiative forms part of Arsenal’s wider No More Red campaign, developed alongside adidas to help tackle youth violence and create more opportunities for young people.
What Is No More Red: The Arsenal Mixtape?
The documentary gives viewers an inside look at the programme’s creative journey, where young artists were offered mentorship, studio access and industry guidance to help develop their music careers.
Participants collaborated with producer and songwriter Semothy Jones and Gain CTRL producer Westy, learning about songwriting, recording and music production while creating original tracks together.
One of the most unique aspects of the project was the opportunity for artists to record music pitchside at Emirates Stadium — transforming the iconic football venue into a creative hub for local talent.
The series concludes with a live showcase performance inside the stadium, where the musicians perform in front of friends, family and mentors to celebrate the progress they’ve made throughout the programme.
Arsenal’s No More Red Campaign Continues To Grow
Launched in 2021, Arsenal’s No More Red initiative has become one of the club’s most impactful community programmes. Working alongside adidas, the campaign focuses on helping young people stay safe through sport, creativity and access to supportive community spaces.
According to Arsenal, the initiative has already transformed four football pitches across Islington and Hackney into safer community environments. More than 1,300 sessions and over 2,200 hours of football coaching have also been delivered through Arsenal in the Community.
Speaking about the importance of safe community spaces, Gain CTRL founder Semothy Jones explained:
“There is a lot of division for young people growing up around north London, and some don’t feel safe travelling to certain areas. Spaces like The Arsenal Hub provide neutral ground where those divides can be put aside.”
Meanwhile, Jeremiah Asiamah, who also mentors participants throughout the documentary, spoke openly about why programmes like this matter.
“It’s so important to engage young people early in their journeys because they are the future.”
The documentary also features appearances from Arsenal-supporting artists including Nadia Rose and Femi Koleoso, who offer advice and encouragement to the next generation of creatives.
