Acclaimed chef Vivek Singh has announced a brand-new High Chai menu at Cinnamon Kitchen City, which can be enjoyed al fresco on the all-weather, covered terrace on Devonshire Square. Bringing fire and spice to the traditional tea-time spread, the new menu, available 3pm-5pm Friday to Sunday, is priced at just £28 per head!
Inspired by Vivek’s roots in West Bengal, as well as his love of modern culinary techniques and British ingredients, the High Chai could only begin with The Cinnamon Collection’s signature samosa and watermelon chaat, alongside dahi puri – semolina shells filled with spiced yoghurt and tamarind. Traditional finger sandwiches are reimagined into delicious masala fish finger sandwiches with tomato chutney, alongside kadhai chicken puff served with kasundi ketchup. Vegetarians are also well catered for with savouries including a beetroot cutlet sandwich served with cucumber, potato and green chutney, and kadhai spiced paneer spring roll with peppers and red onion.
An afternoon tea isn’t complete without sweet delights, and Cinnamon High Chai’s top tier doesn’t disappoint! Guests can indulge in delicately spiced shrikhand cheesecake served with tamarind glazed strawberries, homemade chocolate cardamom pastry slice, cinnamon macarons with saffron cream, and almond cake with flavours of raspberry and pink peppercorn! Specialty teas or the freshly brewed Indian masala chai, (expect notes of ginger and cardamom) are available to accompany the food.
Come rain or shine, the stunning High Chai is available to enjoy now on Cinnamon Kitchen City’s beautiful all-weather terrace – book now at https://www.cinnamon-kitchen.com/book/.
