The nights are drawing in and Halloween is just around the corner. Cold evenings, spooky happenings, witchy vibes… it’s getting us in the mood for Harry Potter!
In honour of this special time of year, Harry Potter franchise invites fans to embrace the magic of the season with a host of fun ideas to try, special events and at-home activities to join in with…
Magical Makeovers
The Harry Potter stories are filled with iconic looks. And not just the characters! Every magical creature, wizarding world location and enchanted object has its own distinct style. To help fans get creative this year, the Harry Potter franchise challenged renowned online make-up artists Atarah Mayhew, Eve Jenkins, and Lisa Street to put their own spin on a Harry Potter look that can be created at home – drawing inspiration from some of the most iconic elements of the wizarding world.
- Influencer and TV star, Lisa Street looked to the Hogwarts houses for her make-up style, bringing the colours and traits of each house to life across her face in one magical montage.
- Eve Jenkins, blogger and TV personality was inspired by the Amortentia love potion, creating pink and red look using eyeshadow, face paint and sparkles to display the bewitching effects of someone under a romantic spell.
- YouTuber and make-up expert Atarah Mayhew has celebrated the beauty of the fantastic beasts from the stories to present her take on the Occamy – a colourful bird-like creature with a serpentine body and wings.
Combining traditional make-up techniques with non-traditional items, each artist has created stand out looks that are sure to turn heads this Halloween. With a steady hand and a dash of confidence, all it takes is a swish (and flick!) of a brush and you will go from Muggle to magical in no time!

Dementors and Death Eaters Descend
This year, the Dark Arts will be even darker as Dementors and Death Eaters appear throughout Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – the Making of Harry Potter until 10th November 2024 as the Studio Tour’s popular Halloween feature, which sees the Great Hall once again brought to life with 100 magically floating pumpkins, returns with brand new additions.
For the first time ever, Dementors will appear unexpectedly in The Forbidden Forest and fans will be able to banish them with The Patronus Charm, just like Harry Potter did in the films. In the Creatures Workshop, visitors can learn more about the creation of Dementors by taking part in an interactive demonstration of the moulding process that is used to make these evil apparitions.
There are still tickets up for grabs, for more information – visit: www.wbstudiotour.co.uk.
