CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR AT THAI SQUARE COVENT GARDEN WITH LUCKY DISHES AND FORTUNE COOKIES

As the Lunar New Year approaches, Londoners are invited to celebrate in style at Thai Square Covent Garden. From Tuesday 17th February to Tuesday 3rd March, the restaurant is serving up a festive menu full of symbolism, flavour, and fun – including fortune cookies packed with exclusive prizes.

Fortune Cookies with Surprises

Every table dining at Thai Square Covent Garden will receive a fortune cookie containing a unique message and a chance to claim exciting rewards. Guests could enjoy 15% off their food bill, a free Chang Beer, or £5 off any noodle dish, adding an extra element of luck to the celebrations.

A Menu Rich in Tradition and Symbolism

Thai Square is putting a modern twist on Chinese-inspired cuisine, with dishes designed to bring luck, prosperity, and happiness for the year ahead:

  • Ruby Duck (Roasted Duck in Red Sauce) – A vibrant centrepiece symbolising abundance and harmony. The red sauce represents good fortune and career success.

  • Seafood with Lemongrass – A premium selection representing completeness, as seafood traditionally symbolises continuous wealth flowing into the home.

  • Prawns with Glass Noodles – Prawns embody vitality and progress, while uncut glass noodles signify longevity and enduring relationships.

  • Steamed / Chu Chi Sea Bass – A must-have for Lunar New Year, with fish (yu) being a homophone for “surplus”, symbolising abundance year after year.

  • Golden / Red Curry – The “lucky” colours of gold and red represent wealth and prosperity, while the rich curry base stands for stability and strength.
