To mark National Burger Day 2026, Burger King UK is launching the UK’s first ‘Decision-Free Drive-Thru’, temporarily stripping its menu back to just one option: the Burger Buddies 3-piece box.
The limited-time activation is designed to help indecisive Brits avoid the stress of choosing between their favourite burgers – because why settle for one when you can have three?
Burger King’s Decision-Free Drive-Thru Is Coming to Merton
On Thursday 27 August, the Burger King restaurant in Merton will become the home of the Decision-Free Drive-Thru.
Rather than being faced with the usual extensive Burger King menu, customers will be offered one simple choice: go decision-free and order the Burger Buddies 3-piece box.
Once they have made their decision – which, admittedly, should be a fairly easy one – customers can head straight to the collection window and pick up their food.
The activation coincides with National Burger Day, giving fans the chance to celebrate with three mini versions of some of Burger King’s biggest menu favourites.
What’s in the Burger Buddies 3-Piece Box?
The Burger Buddies range launched across the UK earlier this summer, bringing smaller, snackable versions of Burger King classics together in sharing boxes.
The Burger Buddies 3-piece box includes:
- Whopper – a mini version of the iconic flame-grilled burger.
- Big King – a smaller take on another Burger King favourite.
- BBQ Steakhouse – a snackable-sized version of the smoky BBQ burger.
So, instead of choosing between the three, you can simply have all of them.
Burger Buddies are also available in a 9-piece box, giving groups the opportunity to enjoy three of each burger.

Brits Spend Six Days a Year Deciding What to Eat
The tongue-in-cheek campaign comes after Burger King UK commissioned research into Britain’s relationship with decision-making.
According to the research, 36% of Brits regularly experience decision fatigue, with deciding what to eat identified as the biggest cause by 45% of those surveyed.
Brits reportedly spend an average of 24 minutes every day deciding what to eat – adding up to 144 hours, or six full days, every year.
Food also ranked as one of the nation’s biggest everyday dilemmas, alongside deciding what to watch on TV, what to do at the weekend and what to wear.
More than a third of respondents said they spend longer deciding what to eat than they actually spend eating, while 55% said they would prefer someone else to make the decision for them.
And if choosing dinner with friends or family sounds stressful, the research suggests it gets even harder for parents. Around 69% of parents surveyed cited food choices as a major source of decision fatigue.
Burger Buddies Are Already Available Across the UK
While the Decision-Free Drive-Thru is only taking over Burger King’s Merton restaurant for National Burger Day, the Burger Buddies range is available more widely.
The 3-piece and 9-piece Burger Buddies boxes can be ordered at participating Burger King restaurants, through Click & Collect and via delivery across the UK.
The range was originally introduced as a way to enjoy several Burger King favourites without having to commit to just one – making it particularly suited to sharing, summer gatherings and, apparently, people who simply cannot make up their minds.
