James Bond fans are in for a treat. IO Interactive, the award-winning developer behind the globally acclaimed HITMAN franchise, has teamed up with Amazon MGM Studios to unveil a brand-new story trailer for 007 First Light, offering a fresh take on the origin of the iconic British spy.
Set to launch on May 27, 2026, 007 First Light will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox ROG Ally X, Xbox ROG Ally, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Pre-orders are now open, including the Collector’s Edition and Legacy Edition. A New Perspective on James Bond
The story trailer, revealed during Sony PlayStation State of Play, introduces players to Bond’s early journey into espionage. From the icy landscapes of Iceland to the covert operations that test his instincts, the trailer highlights Bond’s nerve, resourcefulness, and decisive judgment—traits that catch the attention of MI6 and set him on the path to becoming the legendary agent.
Bond (portrayed by Patrick Gibson) is still inexperienced and occasionally reckless, navigating the strict discipline of the newly revived 00 programme. He finds an unexpected ally in M (played by Priyanga Burford), who sees the potential for Bond to take control of high-stakes situations. Meanwhile, training instructor John Greenway (portrayed by Lennie James) embodies the by-the-book approach, creating tension with Bond’s improvisational style.
Global Espionage and High-Stakes Action
As the revived 00 programme faces its first true test with rogue agent 009, Bond’s mission takes him across the globe—from the Carpathian Mountains to Aleph’s dangerous black market. Along the way, he encounters unpredictable figures such as Bawma (Lenny Kravitz) and Charlotte Roth (Noemie Nakai), challenging him to determine whom he can trust.
