The results of the Red Bull BC One Cypher UK finals, held in collaboration with Nikon and Reebok, have been announced, with CRI6 and Solid emerging as the national champions.
Twenty years on from the very first Red Bull BC One Final, the country’s Top 16 B-Boys and Top 8 B-Girls came together to do battle at the UK finals of the world’s premier breaking competition in a quest to qualify for the World Final in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Participants showcased their skills across two days of intense one-on-one battles, judged by the distinguished panel of B-Girl Roxy, B-Boy Lilou, and B-Boy Lagaet. Their performances were evaluated based on criteria such as energy, movement, and musicality.
In the men’s B-Boy competition CRI6 from Morocco took the title defeating B-Boy Sheku in the final while Solid from Italy was crowned the UK’s leading B-Girl overcoming B-Girl Munirat to earn their places in Brazil.
“When hard work pays off, it’s an amazing feeling” said CRI6. As he looks on to the final in Brazil, he plans to “train every day and bring success for the UK. Meanwhile, Solid wanted to thank the London crowd for their support as she felt “they were on my side” throughout the competition.
Alongside two-days of premier breaking battles guests were provided with an immersive experience that combined breaking and Hip Hop and included an exclusive performance from celebrated UK hip-hop artist Strandz.
